is this a scam?
Good morning all,
I got an email from a school in UAE regarding a teaching position i applied for. They asked for the following:
1: Completed application form.
2. Recent electronic passport photograph.
3. Most recent resume.
4. A simple 2 minute video cv/resume link on www.youtube.com
5. Best Time to contact you by phone (+ or - GMT Time) & full contact numbers with all dialing codes.
I dont mind sending the form, and recent resume. But, I honestly a bit worried about sending a passport photo and a 2 minute video (lol i dont want to get in trouble).
I need your advice since you have experience and know these sort of things more than i do. Is this a scam? Am I safe sending all the required documents?
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks

... and the video C.V. is to be posted on Utube too! so accessible from everywhere, at anytime. a very good idea, u know. but gives me the chills too!
me also outdated, plus me camera-shy. so, me stick with paper resume/cv only. :)
a video C.V. ?? wow!
gosh! how much am i outdated !
Get their contact # thru friends or reliable source(don't rely on Net)and speak to the HR to verify their requirements for applying. Good luck
Thanks a lot for the quick response.
I got told that some of the jobs on tes.uk are scams, and i applied to this one through tes so i wanted to be sure and safe before taking any further actions (better safe than sorry hay).
I agree with you Dph, it is the digital age. But, will contact them on their phone just to be even more safe :).
cheers guys, i appreciate it
yes i have applied and i worry because this is just me :) and i wana be 100% sure before i send any further information.
thanks mate
It's normal for them to ask you a video presentation..
requesting pictures are normal, heck i paste mine on my resume by default. just a few days ago, one of the job seeker websites sent me their routine email discussing video resume. unfortunately i don't read those kind of emails so i can't tell you in detail. however, at a glance, it could be the next big thing. it's the digital age anyway. best you can do to know for sure is to try and contact them on their official phone.
If u have really applied for the Job then y do u worry ??? if u havent then ignore...... Best of Luck dear..
