sheesha and Cancer

Folks, read my words carefully: Sheesha is in fact as dangerous and harmful as cigarette smoking and even more, because you inhale more nicotine via this method. Don’t believe me? Then read this-
According to a recent World Health Organization (WHO) advisory, a typical one-hour session of Sheesha smoking exposes the user to 100 to 200 times the volume of smoke inhaled from a single cigarette. Even after passing through the water, the tobacco smoke produced still contains high levels of toxic compounds, including carbon monoxide, heavy metals and cancer-causing chemicals (carcinogens).
Sheesha is also called narghile (nar-guh-lee) smoking. It started in Asia and the Middle East and involves burning tobacco that has been mixed with flavors such as honey, molasses, or dried fruit in a water pipe and inhaling the flavored smoke through a long hose. Charcoal is usually used to heat the tobacco mixture.Sheesha smoking is usually a social event which allows the smokers to spend time together and talk as they pass the pipe around. Sheesha are marketed as being a safe alternative to cigarettes. This claim is false. The water does not filter out many of the toxins. In fact, Sheesha smoke has been shown to contain concentrations of toxins, such as carbon monoxide, nicotine, “tar,” and heavy metals, that are as high or higher than are seen with cigarette smoke. Several types of cancer, including lung cancer, have been linked to hookah smoking. Sheesha is also linked to other unique risks not associated with cigarette smoking. For example, infectious diseases including tuberculosis (which can infect the lungs or other parts of the body), aspergillus (a fungus that can cause serious lung infections), and helicobacter (which can cause stomach ulcers) may be spread by sharing the pipe or through the way the tobacco is prepared.
BOTTOM LINE: If smoking cigarettes is harmful and haram, then smoking Sheesha is only worse.
So, whoever is thinking that they are safe with Sheesha are only fooling themselves.

so only have sex with 1 and dont smoke sheesha daily but 2 time in a month does not effect you...... if you feel i am rite so send me messages....

note : excess is injerious , occationally is not ....alrite always go to a good sheesha shop not next to hot shot near airport every day isnt it .

Generally things we indulge in for enjoyment are dangerous to health... staring at a good looking woman for example...:)

I think the law bans smoking in enclosed public spaces... however all the bars allow smoking inside!!!

Most of the smoker knows all the dangers and ill effects of smoking.... most smokers want to give up this habit but only few are successful...It is an addiction.

Experts say Sheesha is more harmful than cigarette smoking, so the question is: By encouraging Sheesha joints in Souq Waqif and in the Cultural Village and allowing Ramadan tents to perpetrate the dangerous habit, isn’t the government violating a law it enforced in 2002; banning smoking in public places?
