Sick of Car Accidents

Murali

This is the third time now that some one has come and hit me and I have to suffer a lot because of other people mistakes.

1st time On guy can and hit my car from behind.
2nd on guy came out from a galli(lane) and hit me when I asked him he said I am sorry I was not concentrating as I had a fight with my wife just now.
3rd In the Lulu Parking he went forward and came back not even looking behing even though I was honking oh my God and he was trying to frighten me saying it is ur fault because ur car is in the back..........

So bad.

They do the accident and go off by paying 100 Riyals fine
but we have to waste so much of time in getting the care repaired and the process even spend lot of money as well.

There should be rule like if someone hits that car he has to take the care and get it repaired and give transpost allowence to the guy whose car has been hit by him.....

What you say??????

Thats my feeling..

insurance is good... pays the garage for fixing the car... good... but will your car be really 100% fixed?

try getting a paper clip... bend it! See if you can return it to its original form...

Some garage use super heating methods to remold the steel... but do you know that the original method of making a car today is hydroformed... meaning... they use water... in order not to make any weldings... and breakages.

so.. now... we consider selling... the car... because it got into an accident... you lose money again on the insurance which you bought before... you will lose money on the real value of the car... which has depreciated... you will lose money if you don't sell the car as per your targeted selling price... now a days... getting a brand new car is easy.. which explains car devaluation is really fast...

to conclude:

good luck getting yourselves out of accident... i hope you guys keep in mind that both parties do lose in an accident... even there is insurance to pay for the car damages!!!!

i met someone this morning who has a friend who used to ride a motorcycle. he was stopped at a roundabout and a young qatari male in his landcruiser was not paying attention and ran right over him. this poor fellow had to go through months of rehab and to this day he can not walk on his own and can not speak properly anymore.

the qatari was from a "good" family so nothing happened. no charge. no compensation. nothing.

be careful out there.

Isn't the point of insurance so that if you are at fault it will pay for the repair of YOUR car and the car of the OTHER driver?

Me, too. I had 6 times car accident within 2 years! All NOT my fault… how come 6 times… :(

I wonder if some1 in the authority should be approached for this... it happened to me too.. i had to rent a car... rent a towing truck...

it's so much hassle!!! @&$#@(&$^*^#$(^

Qataris happen to have 5-6 cars at their houses which is why they won't have any problems in case their car got hit...

i was sooooo depressed when i got into this accident... coz it took 2 months to fix the car.

i remember that accident, i was calm.. i forgave the guy... who happened to be in a business visit visa... he had no license... so his colleague was to take the blame... i was cool with that too... now after that incident... all they did was just pay the paperworks... and i was left with the insurance and the emptiness of having no car to go around.

i had to wait... spend money on car rental, towing truck... buy a new phone when i accidentally lost my mobile while taking the taxi...

wait some more... because i keep on hearing some clunking sound under the hood... so i had to send back to garage again... in a long run.. i know that my car is not back to 100%...

i pity myself... i hear violins in the air

simple rule if somebody hit you from the back he is at fault. if you hit somebody from the back you are at fault. no matter what the situation is .

Thats why if somebody honk at me for no reason I just reduce the speed suddenly. if he hit it is his fault and he has to pay for it.

you garantee that he will give back your car after fixing it :)

Its something ridicules, you pay for the mistake of others. Just few days back I was standing on the red light, and when the light turned green and everyone moved, there happened an accident on the other side of the junction. A gal driving next to me broke in emergency and I did the same but ‘coz of ABS brakes it took some time and my front bumper touched her rare bumper...

When I explained the situation to police man he said you should at least keep a 15 mtr distance now please tell me who on earth can keep 15 mtr distance on traffic signals in Doha ???

really gets to my nerves these drivers!

there was this one lady behind me who keeps on hitting her horn even though she can see that the lane is not moving at all! and when we finally moved alittle, she drove on my left side, lowered her window and started gesturing that i'm moving slow & i think she was cursing.

i told her "inti mafi shoof? inti muk mafi?" she shut up.

I had the problem the Arabic guy was telling to the police that it was my fault but the Police was intellegent enought to find out whose fault was that.

inconsiderate people..

i got an accident, too just a few nights ago..well, they insisted its my fault. well, problem is i can't speak arabic so both the police & the other party went away with it. oh well, no point arguing about it coz i know i wouldn't win amongst these locals.

sad, sad situation in doha just cause u dont know how to communicate in their tongue.

inconsiderate people cant recognize road signs & dont know how to use their signal lights.

grrrrrr
