Silent Killer.......

jpa
By jpa

A lot of holidays are coming, plenty of foods & drinks, dancing till early morning.

But before we indulge, I am advising those who are overweight to check their blood pressures.

Hypertension is a SILENT KILLER, and some complications are heart attack, strokes and diabetis.

Do you know what is your blood pressure? You should know before it's to late.

As the saying goes.. Prevention is Better than Cure!

HAPPY HEALTHY HOLIDAYS....

Stress tensors are not really exciting, jpa. So, you don't have to pity me at all. But as you wish.

By edifis• 29 Nov 2009 22:04
edifis

Jpa, it was under a tree! A Fig tree to be precise!

By marie_2• 29 Nov 2009 22:04
marie_2

hhhhhmmm, another hhhmmm, more hhhmmm. Now im facing a wall!

my knowledge is so limited that i had to bravely ask what elastic limit is causing cerebral thrombosis...what i only know is the deposition and accumulation of cholesterol in a blood vessel causes that

...listen to the sound of silence....

By jpa• 29 Nov 2009 22:03
jpa

CONGRATULATIONS EDIFIS, YOU PASSED THE TEST.

Should you reply in a negative way, then you are a candidate for hypertension. Since you did not, it means your blood pressure is normal.

Pity Boston.

By anonymous• 29 Nov 2009 22:03
anonymous

I need to calculate some tensors now.

By edifis• 29 Nov 2009 22:02
edifis

Boston, depends on whether it is elastic deformation or plastic deformation or whether it has reached the yield stress.

By anonymous• 29 Nov 2009 21:59
anonymous

You don't receive education in a university, jpa, only knowledge.

By marie_2• 29 Nov 2009 21:59
marie_2

then you're healthy now jpa, glad to be of help

yes edifis, strain and sprain if you're so stressed out that you dont look where you're going to... might bumped into someone else and you start shouting, blood pressure shoots up, becomes unhealthy again.(sigh)..a never ending story

...listen to the sound of silence....

By anonymous• 29 Nov 2009 21:58
anonymous

?!!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

************************************

I'm Jack's complete lack of surprise

By edifis• 29 Nov 2009 21:56
edifis

But after the elastic limit is reached it may no longer be proportional! Strain may increase without any increment in stress. Then you may have stroke or celebral thrombosis. So try to have a higher elastic limit.

By jpa• 29 Nov 2009 21:56
jpa

edifis, just wondering, have you been educated in a university or under the tree.

By anonymous• 29 Nov 2009 21:56
anonymous

Linear or exponential, edifis?

By edifis• 29 Nov 2009 21:54
edifis

And they have a proportional relation.

By edifis• 29 Nov 2009 21:53
edifis

Stress causes strain.

By jpa• 29 Nov 2009 21:52
jpa

Thanks a lot. It makes me laugh. Laughing reduces stress. Stress is one of the causes of hypertension.

By marie_2• 29 Nov 2009 21:40

now im sure hotcake was right.. swimming helps too :)

no worries here jpa, your thread was never hijacked, it was all connected... by dots :)

It's all hotcakes fault. She started with swimming in the sea.

By marie_2• 29 Nov 2009 21:33

see...

now it turned out that allergies and allergens are related to HPN/HTN(since it beacame their topic)...hhhhmmm, must be because when you have allergies your BLOOD PRESSURE shoots up , DIZZY as well when you have fever and nape pain when you have stiff neck ....maybe misinterpreted as hypertension if other symptoms were not taken into consideration.

....just trying to make the connection lol

...listen to the sound of silence....

By edifis• 29 Nov 2009 21:23

I think I need Antarctic water to cure my Allergic condition.

By jpa• 29 Nov 2009 21:23

By marie_2• 29 Nov 2009 21:19

jpa, i think water is interesting.. it might even help in prevention of hypertension.... may as well listen to them properly
