Problem is that teching methods in the indian sub continent are based on strict discipline. Therefore, the teacher was probably doing what he/she thought was right and was trained to do - if he/she is a trained teacher.

Going to the principal directly might cause more problems. I would suggest talking to the teacher first.

if u are not satisfied maybe u should enroll him under a montessori trained teacher.

First talk to the principal and the teacher and do not complain but suggest that this has happened and now the child is in a fear but not in front of the child.

Also let the child not know that he is protected from his parents for some mistake he has done at school as this he might take it a shield in future.

After teaching for a few years, I can see some teachers have the gift of teaching while others don't (me included?). It's hard to say who has the gift unless you sit in their classroom and experience their teaching. Then you'll know without a doubt. The good teachers who enable their students to learn. Their students will remember the learning that went on in their classroom (not just the teaching that went on). Some teachers just do it for the money and long holidays but they don\t really have the gift or passion for student success (me included?).

This harsh teacher may not have the gift (and accompanying passion for student success). But no teacher wants to be told that he doesn't have the gift for teaching (let alone the ability to teach). But the teacher needs to be confronted and, if that bears no fruit, consult the supervisor/coordinator. But go to the teacher FIRST.

First get the other side of the story aswell. Speak to the teacher first, you might get a totally difirant version of what you have been told.......

I suggest you give the teacher a chance to explain. If that fails, take it further up the ladder.

A child should never be scared to go to school! That will not do much for him/her getting an education if discomfort is present.

If the teachers's idea of behaviour modification is to exclude the child from class and frighten him by telling him he can't go home, then she really has no business being a teacher.

I would investigate further at the school with the management.

It is obvious the teacher is not trained to handle children, Such behavior will definitely create a fear in the mind of the child. Please take this up with the principal of the school and teacher herself. God knows how the other children are being treated. Please PM me the name of the School.

this Behaviour is not right the child will never be able to accept school if he is threatened or yelled at by the teacher...i would say don't send him to school for a day or two and then go to the principle and complaint about this,

and as youris has said above question the teacher too

and after all this if you are not satisfied the change the school..

Life is a mystery..... you never know whats next.....
