Telecommounications - how to choose your monthly plan
I'll share with you my own experince about choosing my monthly tele-communication plan.
When I first came to Qatar I was concerned as much as any other expat about communicating with my home people, and to be honest I was also concerned about reducing my phone bills, this caused a nice challenge at the begining but after two months I found that phone could be a problem if you didn't take it seriously and chose your monthly plan smartly.
at the begining I was using prepaid cards but just after two weeks I found that they are not working fine with me,you could easily spend a 20.00 QAR(twenty Qatari Reyals) by watching two or three HD videos ( five-minute Videos), so I decided to try a monthly plan.
First, I decided to choose a 150 QAR plan per month and pay extra 100 QAR to be able to use my local minutes for international calls, this would give me 1.0 GB internet plan, the first month was just fine, but I was devastated in the next months. I was supposed to pay 250 QAR/month not a 600 QAR/ month, I was monitoring my calls and internet usage, till I found that the significant increase in my bill was because of using only additional 2.0 GB internet Data.
