Cancellation of the residency visa can be served as a ground for premature lease termination, go to the dispute committee.

Try to review your house contract rent, if it is nothing mention in the contract regarding his claim then its illegal.Show a copy or give copy of your formal notice to your land lord and negotiate in a nice way.

If you can deal directly with the owner, most probably he wont be asking for such nonsense. When it comes to final departure (if it is your case) they are cosiderate enough not to give you hard time in addition to your termination. Moreover, they do know that they won't be able to do anything if you simply left without telling them so the should be reasonable enough to handle it wisely.
