Traffic Points - do they go away over time?

Does anyone know when, or if, traffic points disappear over time? In many countries the points stay for a set period of time, like a 12 to 24mths, and then they disappear.

The only thing I can find about points in Qatar is if the number goes to 14 points your license will be suspended for 3 mths but it appears that the points will stay indefinitely until you reach 14 points and there is no information about this on the MOI website.

Does anyone on QL know?
