there are a lot of beggars, everywhere!!!
be prepared that as soon as u land in Egypt, you will have people saying to you: good morning = i nned money.
You can give them some, or ignore them.
If you want to buy anything, always try to get a better price. If they see that you are not Arab, the price will double! or more.
Apart from that, Egypt is a great place to see: pyramids, museum, nile river...

Been in Cairo and Alex last year. I didnt had any precationary measures in particular. Its easy to go in and around this country. Enjoy your trip.
