Coming to Doha for studies... there is nothing more to say... you have already taken the worst of all the decisions. Stay back, if you can, this place can come nowhere closer to the standards we have in India. However, if you still end up being here but are serious with your studies, I would suggest get off QL ASAP... it wouldn't allow you to remain interested in studies anymore (and I am quite serious on this one)...

Doha is peaceful city, good for family life (bachelors’ woe), No one will choose it as destination for education. I guess your parents are here which forces you pursue your edu here. It’s NOT an ideal place for great education environment and character building.

oye rusti,no universities in India that you could go to???...depends on how you view the university experience,if you see it as just getting a degree at the end of it,then you should be fine...however,if you see it as the kind of experience that shapes your life & eventually makes you the person that you are(which is how it ought to be),then you couldn't have picked a worse place on the PLANET to do it!...ZERO character development & personality growth,no thinking outside the box,no freedom of expression,no avenues for free expression, severe heat & humidity for more than half the year preventing ANY outdoor activity, even taking a walk to get some fresh air can be a terrible experience...so LOTS to look forward to! oh if you like bimbos & shopping, you just might be coming to the right place, although it's FAR from the retail heaven that Dubai or even Bombay is,so good luck!...

There has been a lot happening recently so its been fun.

If you have basic social skills you will be fine.

QF and QU have students from many different countries. So you will make lots of new interesting friends.
