Why women prefer shopping to sex!
A fascinating survey has revealed that most young women think about shopping nearly as often as men think about sex.
A survey involving 778 women, aged between 19 and 45, showed that seventy-four per cent of them think about shopping every minute.
Previous studies have claimed to support the widely-held belief that young men think about sex every 52 seconds, while the subject crosses some women's minds only once a day.
In the latest survey by the online fashion magazine Cosmopolitan, two out of five women described themselves as shoe and bag 'addicts', while the thoughts of more than one in ten focused on accessories or make-up. On average, those surveyed spent at least 30 per cent of their annual income on clothes.
"People think about things which bring them pleasurable feelings. The pleasure is usually in the anticipating and planning," psychologist Jane Prince of the University of Glamorgan was quoted as saying by The Mail of Britain.
"But so many women displaying this level of preoccupation, thinking about something once a minute, would indicate widespread addictive behaviour," she stressed.
Perhaps the most troubling aspect of the poll for men was that half of the women surveyed said they preferred going to the market to spending time with their partner, and nearly as many acknowledged that they kept their shopping escapades secret from their partner to hide their level of spending.

Don't care much for shoes, either....Maybe because I have canoe feet! :-P
that it indicates addictive behaviour..
So most of these women are suffering from stilettoitis and should attend councelling..
As an aside, in my college days, I worked in a shoe shop..
Why do women always assume they have smaller feet than they actually do?
I used to get women coming in with feet like canoes and asking for size 36 and 37.

I think that men think of sex anyway and the advertising agents use it.
when i am upset i do go for the shopping.. and btw, the more i am upset, the more expensive things i buy...i can go and buy extra most expensive TV for example even if i don't really need it...or home theatre...
...oh..that's how i bought my first house...
but when i feel happy i hung on QL and do no need no TV, no house.. nothing ...just an internet access..
Ah yes, but is it the advertising that's making men think of sex OR did men think of sex anyway and advertisers are using it!

I've never been into shopping, infact when i was younger while most girls were shopping I was usually hanging out with their boyfriends.
Men are like male black molly fish.Always chase the female with the thought of sex (men trails only 52sec).

As i would def. prefer sex over shopping ;P
I'd rather spend my day thinking about shopping then men. I get far more satisfaction from a new pair of shoes then from a boyfriend anyday.
