working for different position
I am working as a document controller in a company, but everytime they have an event they are transferring me temporarily to the events department to work as an events coordinator which has more work load and is required to work overtime and required to work during weekends. the problem is, the events coordinators has a higher employee rank and higher salary than my employee rank and salary as a document controller and they don't give me a raise in sallary even if i work with the events department which is unfair. please advise what can i do, can i make a complain to NHRC or to the labor law? thank you
Most expats are in a "take-it-or-leave-it" situation here. Your company and most other such types of companies are aware of this. You many report the matter to the Human Rights. But what will you achieve by doing so. You will only be cutting your own feet. Human Rights may help solve your issue if you have sufficient proof, but keep in mind your company may retaliate by demoting you, reducing your salary and benefits or even sending you home as a lesson to other employees of the company. Either continue working under the unhappy circumstances, or go back home. The choice is all yours.
You need to first consider if you have enough work as a document controller
Since the company transfers you to another department that has a greater income, my thought would be to ask your immediate manager or HR, to provide you with compensation, if verbal does not work, then document your request. In the meantime, get experience and put in for a transfer.
Just my thoughts
