I think perhaps someone is mistaken... the ladies in the Al Dana club are not trained in France... Vicky is one of the best hairdressers around and I go to her myself but she is not trained in France, neither is the arabic girl there.
Try the ladies Saloon at Al Dana Club. Not as pricey as some but not as cheap either. Excellent and staff trained in France. Call al Dana and ask for the Ladies Saloon and book with Vickie.
Top right of this site there is a search option. Go to that, type in something like 'hairdressers in Doha' and you will find several threads on QL where this has been discussed and different hair salons recommended or not.

Try the Ramada Plaza salon, I go and they are great. Call them on 4281740. If you are particularly fussy about your hair like me then take a picture of what you want and they will do it for you. Cut and blow dry is 200 QAR. Hope they are ok for you :)
