Warning-Cute Cuts salon in Hyatt Plaza
This children's salon was a nightmare. I felt so bad for every kid there. The one man, potbellied and older,( wore a totally obscene t-shirt that was likely lost on any non-westerner), was blow drying a little girls hair and managed to suck up a big wad of her hair in the intake part of the dryer. Without an apology, he just cut an awkward chunk out of her beautiful hair. Mistakes happen, but I was watching and he was just sloppy and didn't take care. It hurts like hell, I know, it has happened to me.
The woman cutting my sons hair had no concept of wiping the hair off the scissors or sharpening them, and her dull, dirty scissors were pulling with every snip. His hair is super thick and he was miserable. I won't even go into how much fun all this was with the screaming baby in the middle. At least the guy cutting her hair was patient with her, but it just added to the general misery of the place. Poor baby. There are some guys from Turkey in the men's salon near the gas station across the street that we usually take my son to. This place in Hyatt cost twice as much and did a rubbishy job of it. NOT worth the 'convenience' at all. Had they done a good job, 40qr would have been fine. But the guys across the way are nice, fun, do a good job and talk. According to my husband. I don't go in there. Boy territory. Only 23qr. I would pay 3x now that I know their worth! They do a great job on my sons hair and will be fixing it later this week. After all that, the kid still looks like a shaggy dog.
my sis cut her hair recently there and she had a good opinion....:)
Actually I spend 10 minutes staring at this creature & woundring it he a male or she is a female.
My wife couldnt guess also.
shellyjean, you should post this on the main page (Living lounge). I had a similar experience with this salon a few years ago...as per your description, the same sleazy ,pot bellied guy too! Yukk.
I hope this post gets to be read by the qatari investor in the business - I for one won't be taking my child there. Thanks for the warning.
