Good Day to all of you. Our phone line is not working, does it affect our internet connection too? Because we don't have internet also. We called Qtel and they told us that our internet line is okay... :(
if you PHONE LINIE is DC coz of Bill . then you will have only to inccoming calls , butnot out going , so until you have inccoming call you accesss to your internet , but when its close for inccoming and outgoing both ,then you have to pay bill and you have to CALL QTEL Services to Activate your LINE after you pay all your pending bills , and then u will be able to accesse to the net .
just keep complaining to qtel 111 everytime your line is down, we do not have any other choice but to complain to them, i did several complain last month after our mozaic installed, after 4 complain and they sent different technicians, finally, it works normally. they said it's a line problem.
I dont work with them. I dont know why QTEL is very numb regarding this issue, cant they find any other supplier of router that thompson. DLINK and Linksys is far better than their unit. Angelo, try to request new router from them or at least buy netgear.
First and foremost those who are answering our queries in QTEL are incompetent and they dont have enough knowledge to handle the situation. They dont even know how to do it by thereselves so what is the use of them. They cant even provide help if you are using different router... They are just like an answeing machine who has a paper with them with an answer for possible question without really knowing how to do it in practical situation.
1. Make sure that your phone is properly connected to its telephone outlet. Try to unplug and plug it then check if there is a dial tone. 2. Do the same for your router then try to turn it off and on. Then check the lights from your router. The DLS line and internet should be green. If the lights are there, internet should be working fine. 3. If its still the same, called the QTEL again and informed them that you already did what I have mentioned above and ask them to send technician to fix the issue.
Bunch of jackasses, there at Qtel customer service (Same as all companies/establishments in Qatar). How can the internet line work if the phone line is not working. ( Me thinks)
I think they just checked that you are not bared by Qtel and answered that the internet line is connected.
From my first experience with the internet (dial up) telephone line was required and now that we have Mosaic, this also comes thru' the Qtel line.
God forbid if Mosaic does not work, Qtel say everything is alright from their end and to contact 3rd party. 3rd Party arrives and says there is no problem
Mosaic comes and goes, with constant updates and a blank screen, Some times you will have someone thats say, yes we have a problem in some areas.
Very frustrating, sorry venting my frustration here. Expecting some decent service from the only Telecom provider in Qatar, you know what i mean

do you work with Qtel. They sent some guys to our house but the problem still persists
1) The screen shows, that Mosaic is receiving some update. all the time. also the screen freeze up very often
2) Is Mosaic - HD? As we have connected an HDMI cable and our TV is 1080, but it shows 720i
