If i am using the mobil internet with USB modem from Qtel on my current notebook, is it possible to share the connection with another notebook (ie: a friend's notebook nearby) ?
Can someone pls help me how to setup this if possible.
hi desosb! did it work? i am using the Mobile Broadband too, what happen is there are two of us using USB, so one cannot use it because it is plug in the laptop, is haring possible without plugging the USB so long distance is allowable?please respond..thanks

*Make sure your internet connection is working.
*Goto Control Panel >> Network & Sharing Center
*From Tasks Select >> Set up a connection or network
*Choose Set up a wireless ad hoc network
*Give your network a name (any name)
*Choose WEP Security Type and set a password
*Click next and choose 'Turn on Internet Sharing'
*And thats it you are all set to share.
Windows XP
*Make sure your internet connection is working.
*Goto Control Panel >> Network Connections
*Right Click Wireless Network Connection
*Choose Properties >> Choose Wireless Networks Tab
*Check "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings"
*Under Preferred Networks >> Click Add
*Give a network name (any)
*Network Authentication - Shared
*Data encryption - WEP
*Choose a password and then choose OK
*Now click on Advanced
*Choose the third option (Computer-to-computer (ad hoc) networks only) and then click Close
*Press OK
*Now Goto Control Panel >> Network Connections
*Right Click Local Area Network
*Choose Properties >>Go to Advanced Tab
*Check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" under Internet Connection Sharing
*Click OK and thats it
