why problem with google in google chrome?

I have this problem with searching in google in the web browser google chrome. Once you type and give search the textbox is simply cleared and the google front page reappear again (with no search results). Strangely this problem doesnt exist with internet explorer. Computer geeks please help with this.

Simply type what you want to search in the browser and enter( after making google your default search engine). works that way....

I have the same issue. The work around is to use iGoogle. The other option is change your browser to IE or Firefox
