Will Qtel double the internet speed?

I heard that at 15th of May (2 days ago), that Qtel was going to double all internet speeds.

People who subscribed at 512 kb got 1 MB.
People who subscribed at 1 MB got 2 MB.
People who subscribed at 2 MG got 3 or 4 MB.

I still don't have my upgrade? I got the 2 MB package, and I was wondering if 2 MB subscribers are getting an upgrade.

Any people out there who bought the 2 MB one?
Help please.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WAS USING A 512 ONE AND I JUST TESTED NOW AND THE RESULT IS 1.05 MB

Yes, they have. If you are using the Thompson modem provided my them you can check. Go into the router with your browser and type 192.168.1.254. Once inside click on broadband connection on the left side and it will tell you how much speed you are getting. Mine was at 2mb last week and i just check and these are the results

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 638 / 4.832

so yes, I am on 4Mbps now

i did the speed test now and it says 18.53 Mb/s for download and 4.75 Mb/s for the upload and the ping was 14 ms. is it good or bad???

I just check my internet speed using http://speedtest.net and it shows .86Mb/s. I only subscribe for 512Kb/s.

Hi. I think this is unlikely as most people are connected using a copper connection which can carry a maximum of 2MB. Anything higher needs a fibre connection.
