Dear Anil.............I think first answer is the perfect answer for you as you don't have telephone connection. We should not talk about ADSL connection. Go for the mobinet with QTEL post paid mobile. Then you can use internet in your laptop or even in desktop through GPRS modem. A GPRS modem is available in Mercure Hotel building (Sofitel market) and it cost in between QR. 350 to QR. 400

best get ADSL connection first through Qtel, it doesn't take long for the application to be processed. We applied for our ADSL 2 weeks ago then after few days, its ready to use....

Better have that Qtel broadband package at a minimum of 100qr a month. You'll just have to attach that usb thing and you can already go wireless within doha with your laptop or desktop. Check it out on your nearest Qtel centers.

... unless of course one of you neighbours already has an unsecure connection then you can "borrow" his connection ;o)

Indeed you first need an internet connection through your internet provider, in this case QTEL. Then you will need an adsl or cable ROUTER which you will connect to you broadband modem and which will send the signal wirelessly. Then you will need either a laptop with wireless connectivity or a desktop with a wireless card to pick the signal.

Might sound complicated but it's very easy to set up, once you got the right equipment.
