Asia Live, Taj Rasoi and Salsa at Doha Marriott

Hubby and I are food addicts so we love to try different cuisines. We go to the restos in Doha Marriott as we find the food suitable to our taste buds, have reasonable prices, have good ambience and service…plus they serve alcohol.

Asia Live

We love this Asian fusion resto. They have Teppanyaki as well but we haven’t tried it as the food would be too much food for us. We just enjoy watching the chef doing live cooking. Their Paad Thai is the best I’ve ever had in Doha…..and I really like the antique-like mini treasure chest where they put the billJ

Taj Rasoi

I am not an expert on Indian cuisine but of all the Indian restos we have been to, this is where I had the best Indian food to suit my palate.

Salsa

We go to this place when we crave Tex Mex food and Margaritas. The interior of the resto really has a “Mexican” feel . There’s a band to entertain you as well while you dine. We liked the old set-up and menu better though. We feel that their previous menu was more extensive. The lay-out of their new menu confuses me. The previous band was more lively as well.

I've been to Sanjeev Kapoor, and really liked it. Not just the food but also the ambiance was great. I haven't back for a long time, so thanks for reminding me about it.

Quicky, a dog-tail sakaera would never listen 2 his own master so better leave him with his ginger.

The Garden used to be my favorite Indian Restaurant, years and years ago when it was on Electricity Street. In fact that used to be the exciting part of Doha, full of so many shops and restaurants and interesting things, before everything was demolished.

Is Aisha's Restaurant in Villagio authentic Indian food?

My taste buds still prefer Taj Rasoi over Chingari and Bombay Balti at the Radisson. I'm going to try Deccan Deewan as a lot of people here recommend it. What's your view on Bukhara Restaurant? I like the Indian food there as well:)

I will give The Village and Deccan Deewan a try thanks Sakaera. But here's what confuses me. Like a lot of people, I love murgh makhani. But when I got it from Biryani Hut in Wakrah it was delicious, and sweet. And when I had it from The Garden behind the fruit and vegetable souq it was delicious, and really, really spicy. I am really unsure how it is 'meant' to taste?

If I'm going to go to a hotel and spend money on Indian food I think Chingari in the Raddison Blu hotel is much better than Taj Rasoi at Marriott. But I'm not Indian so I don't know which is more authentic food and taste.

Still Chameleon, we must agree that a meal for two that is above 250 falls under the expensive bracket. For a burger, anything above 40 or 50 riyals is extortion. So Jone's the Grocer is not cheap or reasonable for burgers for example.

Expensive. I can not afford. Jitni chadar hai utni hi felao

I suppose "reasonable" in this context is subjective Yacine and will depend on some factors such as the type of restaurant, location, taste and budget. Had I shared opinion on a fast food, then I would also say that some of them are reasonably priced and some are not:)

I don't think these restaurants are reasonably priced to be honest.
