Requesting advice for admission without RP documents
Date: January 26th, 2018
Hi All!
I hope you are having a nice weekend.
Well, I recently moved to Qatar for job purposes and my family followed. I understand that for residency application for family members, required documentation includes 6 months worth of salary/ bank account statement. Issue is, I'll still have to wait another two months to meet the six month criteria. So, I intend to extend my family members' 'family visit visa' and later, do the RP process.
I intend to get my kid's education started immediately; preferably, in an English medium school. However, most school's website states prerequisite of RP documentation. I am told, school admission is competitive and often applications end up in waiting list. So, I am looking for some advice on how to address the gap. Are there schools which allow temporary admission without RP documentation? My kid is at pre-school level. Also, some advice on english medium schools in the ballpark monthly fees of 2500 - 3000 QAR will be appreciated.
With kind regards,
IAT
You are worried about child in preschool...no need such worry.
Just complete your school protions in any education centre in doha...they will accept visit visa also...
Eg: Pioneer education centre ALsadd, near hamad behind lulu centre...Mob: 55313649 or 33839845
But no need wait for 6 months ..if family here...speak to captain and he will waive off this criteria...
Captain is on top floor in Immigration department gharrafa...His name is Nasser Al Attiya... he will waive off the criteria considering the fact that delay in RP means delayed admission.
In the mean time your child can attend an education centre and cover the portions
There is just no way to fill the gap as an RP is a must for admission to schools. Suggest, you allow the children to continue with their education in their home country and bring them here when you get permanent residency for your wife and some months before schools start, However, if your child is in the nursery stage, you may try your luck with some nurseries here in Doha. From what I learnt from the comments of QLers, these nurseries do allow admissions in such cases. I am not sure though.
