iPhone - Sending TXT Messages
Hi,
So i just got an iPhone 3G 16GB. I inserted my SIM Card and got a txt message from QTel saying that my phone cannot accept the settings and that i should call QTel...
Fair enough - So i call QTEL to get the settings and enter them manually but they dont know the steps to enter them...
Can someone pls pls pls help as i cannot even send text messages. I think its coz i havent entered the Message Centre Number but i've looked everywhere and cant find where i'm suppose to enter this. Also checked in the manual to no avail.

Then i tried sending a text message and it still says:
"Error in Sending"

Thanks for that!!! But the problem is i dont knwo WHERE those settings go?! I've searched the menus high and low and cannot find it... Also cant see anything in the manual/user guide...
It is not locked,
as long as it got signal and you made / receive calls this mean it is unlocked.
you just need the settings for sms which are:
Message Center : +9745589955
character encoding: Reduced support
Message validity: Maximum time
Message sent as: Text
Prefered connection: GSM/UMTS
Mmmm... I can make and receive calls and can also receive sms's but cant send sms's - could this still mean that it is locked? The shop i bought it from did tell me they unlocked it when i bought it...
You have to unlock your IPhone, so that you can use with Q-Tel Network...

you can send text msg and receive also.
the setting the Qtel sends you normally on a cell phone are of Mobi net and moziac and they dont have the setting for Iphones means you cant send or receive multimedia messages.
So you can setup your emails on iphone and use them for sending songs or pic through wifi connection no edge. if you ue edge that will be costly.so enjoy surfing. i got both 2g and 3g and am using them smoothly i dont need any qtel seting for that. its better without it too.
