LG blu ray player

Hello QLers, i bought LG bluray player and the salesman says it's region free already. but when i'm playing my dvds, it is still limited to region 2. anyone knows here to unlock???tried to search already but to no avail. my last option is to bring it to service centre but that would be my last option..i got fooled...: (
