FESTIVALS (WASTE EVILS) OF INDIA
Making clay idols & fire cracking can u believe Indians spending millions of dollars, while celebrating number of festivals each will held for long duration every year in return they r polluting water ,air, noise, peace, traffic, like whole environment destroying,i am surprise weather its there religious obligations or just the people made it like that. Why ? .ThIS wealth they can utilise for the development of poor Indian community, who cant afford good medical, education, food to there children. Honesly its worth, necessary ??

Akkon.....Learn to respect all religions and its cultures and the Festivals.

I suggest mind your business; we Indians are extremely emotional and attach to our roots, where ever we live.

Kudos to ICE and Wefrmdoh, appreciate and agree with your comments :)

Happy Diwali to ALL in advance!

Genereally a festival in india is celebrated to feel the victory of good over evil... so when you have to celebrate such a victory, there is no hard and fast rule and neither can any body put any restriction or objection to any such joyous celebration. it in no way emphasis any thing wrong... it is a way to show the happiness of being triumphant over a particular evil force or demon, and it show us the righteous path that we should follow the discipline that we should follow in life. it brings closeness between human... near and dear...to all those who dont know there are lot of charity and other kind of finalcial help is rendered for poor by many. we insted of only criticizing, can indulge of some good deeds as we celebrate.... Happy Diwali!

Well i am new to this forum...i just want to share few points from my side. Firstly i would like to say festivals according to me means bringing one human being close to another. It should be celebrated in a peacful manner and in way that it shouldn't trouble other human being in any form. Deewali, Holi have one or the other drawbacks in their own.

I love the clay idols, I love the fire crackers, and I so love the sweet dishes that accompany them. To me indulging in these activities is necessary. Not only do they remind me of home, but also takes me back to my childhood days, my roots. I want my kids to know the culture and traditions that their Mum grew up with.

Looking forward eagerly to the festival season.

Dont try to make fun of ones cultures and traditions. They are only playing with crackers, not with bombs. Perhaps u are unaware of INDIA.

There are lots of ways to have fun...and for Indians that is fun. There is no need to question their happiness. When we have fun we don't need to think our own sorrows.
