now we are consulting with private clinic (Dr.Kudusia Begam). and our doctor said that she will refer my wife to HMC women Clinic by end of 7 month as we have a plan to have delivery in doha.

my question is:

Is there any INDIAN (kerala / tamil) GYNECOLOGIST available at women hospital ,or avaialble only arabic doctors.

because my wife having a language problem she can speak tamil or malayalam only.

so this case how she can manage her delivery here if there is no any south indain doctors.

For First time visit you need the referral letter from your doctor to lake further treatment from Women Hospital, normally they will accept you once you have completed 7 month of Pregnancy period.

( If you are having treatment from any health center of HMC, automatically they will transfer you to women hospital at the end of 7th month, or if you are taking treatment from out side private clinic other than HMC, they will ask you your delivery plan whether the delivery at HMC of Private, so they will arrange for the referral letter as you replied)

No, we can not opt for a specific doctors, they have a grouping system, that means in each group there will be 4 doctors, so this four only treat you on rotation or availability basis.

hospital timings morning: 07 AM to 02 PM and Evening 03 PM to 07:00 PM, but for evening is the PRIVATE CLINIC so you have to pay QR:100 per visit, for morning shift it is FREE.

So dont worry it is very good , but there is only one this which I feel to be little bad is, they are having mixed gender of Gynecologist, so some time the male doctors will attend you and you may feel some discomfort for some time , rest everything is OK.

Dear All,

My wife has given birth to a male baby at Hamad Womens Hospital.

The treatment and doctors are very good, they are taking more care

Most of the Nurses are from KERALA , PHILIPINE and Few TAMIL nurses avaialble.

but language is not the problem at all, it is really good

so any one wish to have the delivery of their wife, please move with HMC.

Thanks all.

I don't have any insurance, so I fell HM is better for me.

I hope it will help me a lot, and let me try to start the monthly check up with HMC.

Thanks Sonia.

HI,

Not to worry about it as there are plenty of tamil/malayali nurses who will be assisting these doctors and will help her to translate to the doctors. That's true that most probably you will find arabic doctors. My wife also had her delivery in hamed hospital and all the nurses and doctors are very helpful. During the delivery period you will find all tamil/malayali nurses around and will be very helpful to her. Wish you all the very best.

Most of the FEMALE DOCTORS in HAMAD are ARABS..In fact, it is not always necessary that a DOCTOR who will treat your wife uptil her last day would be present at the time of delivery too...Any available doctor would do the needful..

There are SOUTH INDIANS nurses in HAMAD but not necessary that any ONE of your LIKING would be present on the D-DAY...keep your FINGERS CROSSED!

Language will not be a problem cause at THAT TIME priority will only be the SAFE DELIVERY which doctors/nurses will take care of it..

If you have INSURANCE, try for PRIVATE clinics like DOHA CLINIC or AL AHLI..They are bit expensive but since you're so much concerned about your wife, think ON IT!...
