Hello Eveyone!

I am Filipina who works in Qatar for almost 3 years now. I am single mom and never been married. With my grade level in my company I am not entitled to provide family sponsorhip. I heard that the immigration has raised the minimum salary to QR 10K to apply for a family sponship.

I am planning to get my kids here with my sis to look after them through a family visit visa first and I will process, myself, for them to be considered to have a permanent resident visa.Do you think this plan could be feasible? Does immigration will require marriage contract in my case?

if you're divorced, you can just use the marriage certificate (nobody will check if you're still married :o) that's probably the easiest way. But, if you don't have marriage certificate and your kids' names have different father names, you will have a problem

Income... too low - cannot sponsor with salary below QR10k (this is with allowances, so if your basic salary + allowances is 10k, you should be fine)

i beleive that as per new rules, you need the salary of QAR 10,000 PM to sponsor your family and kids.

You check with the Philippine Embassy for some supporting documents.

If the kids have your last name, then it would be easier.

However, you need to ask your employer/sponsor if they have no objetions.

From what I know, even if your salary dont reach the bracket requirement, as your company will provide the accommodation, you got a chance.

Now that you said your salary isnt that big, how will you manage for your kids' education? Maybe you should think about the other options before you delve in it...its gonna be financially difficult for you, I bet.
