If you have the proper documents to prove that they are your wife and daughter you will be able to apply for their visa but as mentioned by other QLers it is better to check with your Company first. You should have the necessary documents like Marriage Certificate, Birth Ceritificate of your? daughter, Salary Certificate and the NOC from your Employer.

Hi, I've been here 2 years and am just going through the process of my wife being on my sponsorship. All I need is a No Objection Letter from my employer, 6 months bank statements and our marriage certificate. As from a previous post there is a minumum salary level, albeit at QR7,500 all UK employees should be OK. The UK embassy here is very good and can give any advice needed.

macker, you are right, no one should rely on the forum like this if persons like yourselves kept commenting on something that they have no clue about. What British Embassy has to do with obtaining any kinds of visas in Qatar whatsoever? If you are citizen of let’s say India and you want visa to Germany, where would you go: to Indian embassy or to the relevant German institution responsible for visas to Germany? What a nonsense some people are saying.

Itsallnew, rather follow mircea's advice. First you have to be qualified to sponsor your family. Once you make sure that you are qualified, gather necessary documents and submit your application to the relevant Qatari authorities. But my advice, first, check this matter with your company, as in any case you have to have a status of your visa as “Family status”. Usually companies either help you with this matters or even provide such service to their employees for free. Ask your company first.

I can't see why not after all your wife and you are responsible for the young girl until she is 18.... I am assuming she is under 18. Call the British Embassy or equivalent office for the correct advice - you shouldn't rely on a forum like this. Ask the people in the know; you don't want to get it wrong!

Yes, of course, is possible; all you have to prove is the relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificate) and to make the paperwork to obtain the visa. Also, is a minimum wage/month to show that you can afford to support your family here - if you come from UK, I suppose this would not be a problem. As a rule, will be necessary a letter from your sponsor (I suppose will be the Employer), your employment contract - copy, maybe the house rental contract or the Kahramaa (water & electricity company) invoices on your Qatari residence, copies after the marriage certificate, after the girl birth certificate, or any other document certifying the relationship between you and your step daughter, the letter for visa application (in Arabic); you must make 2 files, for each person one; don't worry, after you will be here, the company PR officer will know what you need and will support you to make all papers, is his duty.

Then is a matter of 3-4 days to obtain the visa (you will download electronically from the Ministry of Interior web site) - in your payment bill are some ID numbers for the visa, to be tracked.

First get here, than everything will be easy.

Have a nice trip!!
