THere is an expo going on in exhibition center run by the Hospitality industry. The families who went with their children were kicked off from there, as they say CHILDRENS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Hospitality expo but no hospitality.

alfredg,

then don't go to the expo.

Would you take your children to a business meeting?

maybe there's nobody to look after there children that is the reason why they brought them in the expo.

I wasn't allowed at the Jewelery Fair last time ( also not advertised this-"Kids Not Allowed") so I missed it..was upset of course, cause I trust the public behavior of my kid, but I understand the meaning of a Business type exhibition...

kotaiba, I am very ofended by how U refer to children, i am guessing U don't have children. Beside ur worthless comment, the other 2 arguments make complete sense. I myself don't go anywhere without my children, for me, everything is a family affair, but if children are not allowed at certain places, I surly won't throw a fit for that, I would simply go somewhere where children are welcome. But for this specific event, they should've advertised in the paper that children were not allowed, it can be very inconvenient to show at the expo and read the sign at the entrance. And as far as kids being bored at this expo, well if kids were allowed i would for sure take my kids, as they love crafts/loves to bake and be creative with food, would have been an intresting event for them, but hay I am not complaining as this is not my event so not my rules.

exactly !!! that is a professional expo.. and those little shit machines running around would have made a huge mess .. specially with all the chocos around !! it would have been like asking a junky not to steal some dope at a dope expo!!!

Sure it was - you're looking for entertainment - your children aren't interested in this type of thing - why take them where they'll get cranky quickly and possibly disturb others?

bleu, well what Alexa(and eco) said made sense and point taken but what what mary catherine said, well she totally missed the point, ssue wasnt about boredom or lack of places to take kids.

Because there is no entrance charge, people will take their children because it's a form of "free entertainment" for them (the adults, not the children), while it may be an actual "business" trip for other adults.

Why would you take children to such an event? Other than to relieve YOUR boredom - there is nothing there for children who have small attention spans and nothing to do - a recipe for disaster IMHO.

Take them to the park. Play a game with them - why take them somewhere that holds no interest for them and is not geared towards them.

it is all because of a few unruly children.

Bleu, the question wasnt about finding a venue for enteratining kids, it was a question if you wanted to go to that particular event but couldnt find a babysitter, its a shopping expo, not a night club. Also Bleu, what sort of comment is that "others may hate the place because of them." There many places that people without kids have made it miserable to visit, goes both ways.

Anyway for im not really interested in going anywhere where my kids arent welcome, Id rather spend my money at places that welcome me and the kids.

Most Expos are business orientated and not intended as a family day out.... Take them to the park!

Generally unless it is an expo pertaining to something for or about children they generally arent allowed in.

I do remember one guy fighting with security at the door or Milipol because he wanted to bring his son in.

nadt,

Children should not be taken everywhere, others people may hate the place just because of them.

Many of my friends who don't have babysitters have other ways to go out without the children.
