We are hoping to move to Doha in a few months and would like to know more about what everyone gets up to - what is a typical week for a british expat family?
Our girls are 12 11 and 7 and enjoy all the usual dancing, karate, ice skating, cinema, bowling, shopping..?
One of the reasons why I looked forward to moving to Doha was to get out of the "rut" of everyday life. Well, only after a few months the rut was back...School, grocery shopping, swim practice, soccer practice, birthday parties, etc...Same rut, different locale. (Only difference is the shopping is more expensive but house cleaners are cheap!)

1- ICE SKATING AND BOWLING THEY CAN DO at City Center. Both things are very close to each other.2- Karate u have to hire somebody or enroll urself in a club.3- So many cinemas here already.4- Shopping is the only thing u will do here in as nothing else is available except seeing so many clean and cool beaches... :)
For a family, you will have all what you need here. Moreover, there are plenty of British expats whom you can get associate with. It will be fine for you and your family. It's a safe country and you can have peace of mind. Welcome :)

At their ages, they should have a good time. Its when they get into the late teens that the boredom sets in. Good Luck!
