pack a towel in you bag. hospital policy apparently doesnt permit the nurses to give out towels for bathing.

yes of course , one by stander is allowed in labour room.you will be moved from labour room to recovery room and from there to the ward in a stretcher. no need to walk.Shamsiec, don't you worry abt all that...... just pray well sweety just pray for a pregancy without any complications. thats the only thing we can do. do little googling on labour pain and what to expect during labour.then you will get a clear idea on what to really expect... let us know once you are back form hospital with the baby......

You will be taken in a bed after labour, and yes your mother or female relative is alloed to stay with you in the room until time of delivery, then they have to stay out side... after that she is shown the baby...

No photos allowed inside the labour room.

YOu will be taken to recoveries and the normal ward in a bed, you are supposed to ask for assistance from the nurse the first time you get off the bed after delivery..

Good luck !!!!

Dont take any thing into the womens Emergencey just your healthcard ,you will be given a gown by the hospitle, after delivery you will be kept in a recoveries ward, they keep you there about an hour or more depending on the availability of rooms in the normal ward....its after this that your transferred to the normal ward, then you will need the bag, not before.

As for making it from umm side... well first baby takes a while to arrive.... check if your healthcentre has an ambulence, you can always go there first n they will rush u .

Thnaks a lot for the quick responses.......one more thing......now am 9 months beginning.......rght now itself i got pain here and thr.....at times i feel its labour pain....but i hv heard that the begining of labour pain is like it comes evry half an hour and then the time reduces and so on.......but for me each pain lasts for sometime and it stops.....i identify like that its not labour pain........how does it actually begn, means how do i identify the pain......ths is my first baby nshallah.......

just put in a few gowns that would make it easier for u to feed the baby ... some clothes for the baby ..... a blanket for the little one ..... ur toiletries .... and if u wd like something to read .... anything else ur husbby can keep shuffling in and out of the hospital .... and dont worry even if u r in umm saeed its only in the movies that as soon as labor starts in 5 mins uve got the baby in ur hands ..... as far as labor pains are concerned ..... belive me wen they give u the kid in ur hands u cant remeber any pain!!

as tucks said keep walking around and if its so bad u always have pain relief :D

as i my mother in law kept telling me. you got to think of the pain as good pain, without it your baby cant come out naturally.

the hospital offers pain relief, i also recommend trying to walk around as much as possible helps with the contractions, i asked them if they could and they set a seat up in the corridor and let me walk around for as long as i could.

as i said if u have any resquests just ask them, i found the nurses willing to help any way they can.

good luck.

there are women out there who are very less fortunate and able to deliver their child normally...no facilities..,no nurse...,only one good midwife and FAITH IN GOD...

I had my baby girl 3mnths back. I had a very nice experience. All nurses were very sweet and nice. Even during the stay after delivery, they take good care .

I had my baby boy about 7 months ago and I can say it was a good experience. I had a nice African Lady ,, her name was Aishah and she was Muslim masha allah.

When u deliver there are a lot of ppl going in and out of the room.Strangely they don't have midwives,it was kinda different from what I'm used too.But it worked out just fine!

I delivered almost 2 years ago and had an angel for a nurse an indian lady , who even prayed with me during contractions, but prior to her coming on duty there were 2 other fillipino nurses who seemed very offhandish, I think they were tired and wanted to get away from screeming ladies in the those of labour....

Also my friend delivered last Sunday and she was very happy with the the nurse she got and even the staff in the labour room.

Hope this helps....
