hi! is it possible to live in doha without having a car or any form of vehicle? I have a 1 yr and 5 mos. old daughter and my wife. Are there families here surviving without owning or renting any vehicle? just pure karwa/carlift... Salary ranges bet 7 to 8k...

popcorngirl, "kabayan" is the term used for fellow filipinos (ka-co/ bayan- country: hailing from the same country/place)

xine, get a car. i am single and yet i really found it hard to be mobile around here. karwa is expensive and while the bus is cheap, not all routes are covered.

kadaut...

Buddy Xine....I lived in Doha the first 10 months without a car, my family was with me in that period and those days (2006) winning a lottery ticket was easier to getting a cab on the roads. It was not a pleasant thing to do especially when at times my my son fell sick....but we did survive.
