Ladies be careful at the new family park

Yesterday I was enjoying the new family park near the Hyatt shopping plaza. My friend and I had our small children with us and were walking over the bridge near the water feature. A traditionally dressed boy about 8 or 9 years old walked up behind us and touched us on our bums! We were very shocked to say the leasts. He ran off after we told him to stop. The park officials were very sympathetic, but couldn't help us as he had disappeared. I will return to the park, but will watch my bum around boys like this!

It looks like this could happen everywhere..I was sittin alone in a hotel lobby, waiting my friend..A group of maybe 10 boys the same age and dress surrounded me (there was an event in one of the restorants) and start touching my hair! I realy got scared..It was good i had a friend girl from the security and she react immediately..It was horrible.

that's a general waring. Bedouin are different.and yes, i wouldn't take my family there. My cousin last year at jungle zone nearly killed a 10 year Bedouin boy who was about to touch her 4 years daughter.

That's the Bedouin neighborhood. you better watch out, some of its inhabitants have been living a decade ago in tents

Hmmm..."traditionally dressed boy about 8 or 9 years old" ?

My advice: don't even think to slap him!

Hyatt Plaza - yes, heard quite a bit about cheeky teens there. Wasn't there a thread somewhere about some similar incidents in the food court - ladies getting harrased there - bum pinching, etc.? Those teens get away with it - something should be done.

tubelight - "conveniently took a photo of me" - you must be strikingly beautiful for them to do that. Nobody bothers me and that's the way I like it. ;0)

/I also avoid Hyatt Plaza because of what I've read. I don't need to go there, so I simply don't. While I like exploring and observing situations, haven't had time to check out Hyatt Plaza much. Only went there once.

Mallrat- Sorry, I had some technical problems. Yes ,it's the new park with what I would call hills and silly looking trees.

Tubelight- It makes you want to fly the bird of happiness right back at them!

Thanks for your kind words. I just feel so violated!

i received plenty of that kind of attention along with cheeky verbal remarks from young boys in london and a lot worse treatment by adult men in bazaars in asia. a few weeks ago i went to a restaurant with my husband here. two men came along in traditional local dresses and sat opposite us. one of them took his phone out and conveniently took a photo of me when my husband was right beside me. then he had the cheek to simle at me before leaving.

you are right we have to be careful but sometimes its useless.
