Just my 2 cents, these points are what I guess you should have in mind while considering a Solar Energy System.

1- The more power that you require, the more photoelectric panels required. And more photoelectric panels = larger area covered by PE panels, more batteries and overall more cost.

2- Most PE panels have a guarantee about 80% of the initial output by a period of 20 years, as the panels degrade by time.

3- The output of the PE panels is actually gets worse with the increase in Temp, they give more power in lower temperatures. But, that's a Catch 22, most of the time, more sun = higher temperature.

4- Batteries are HEAVY, and would require space, and probably maintenance.

Basically you will need three things: Solar cells, batteries, and inverters. The solar cells charge the batteries during daylight, the inverter transforms the DC voltage of the batteries into 230 Volts AC. You can calculate US $1 for each Watt of the solar cells. If you have a house with 5 A/Cs you would need around 15 kilowatt power. The more batteries you have, the better. A 5 kWatt inverter costs about US $ 2.000. For QR 100.000 I can build you a 20 kWatt solar power station.
