Dear Moms,

I'm expecting our 3rd child (she's gonna be our first delivery in Qatar). I am still in my first semester but my past pregnancies was quite complicated and need serious care since this early timing.

I have been searching around QL to get this information but have no luck.

DO I HAVE TO DO THE CHECK UP AT THE HEALTH CENTER FIRST then I can follow up to women's hospital? Or CAN I OPEN MY FILE DIRECTLY AT WOMEN'S HOSPITAL WITHOUT HEALTH CENTER INTRODUCTION?

Your kind info would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Dear all,

Thanks for all the infos and supports. I will go and see the service at PHC-airport this evening and see if they are okay, otherwise I will just go directly to women's hospital.

Have a nice day :)

After seven months you can not take check ups at Clinics only at Hamad or the hospital where approved for delivery. (Ex: Al-Ahli hospital)

In my case, I had my prenatal appointments at PHC until 2nd trimester... then they give me referral to Women's Hospital on the 6th month of my pregnancy.

I just noticed that in PHC there's no payment, unlike in WH you need to pay 50QR-initial visit and 30QR for the succeeding appointments!

Good luck.

No need of going to PHC. You can directly visit Women's Hospital. For booking an appointment you can call them at any of the number listed here:
