Can anyone tell me how much (on average) it costs to remove wisdom teeth in Doha. I was quoted an average of 3500 riyals for the whole process, but then found some places that will do it for only 300 riyals. It sounds unusually cheap, but from a reputable place.
Dr. Susan George is probably one of the worst doctors I've come across.
Her treatments are expensive. Registration costs Qr25, Teeth cleaning costs Qr200 (and extra Qr100 for additional sittings). Bleaching (Teeth whitening) costs Qr1000 & above.
Moreover, she isn't the friendliest of persons. Go in for consultation to her, and she treats you like a third-class patient. In other words, her attitude is like - "Take it, or get lost." Doesn't act like a professional.
She is, however, quite qualified (MDS). But, I believe qualifications aren't enough. A doctor needs to build a good rapport by enlightening the patient about the ailment and possible treatments. From my experience, she doesn't have this quality.
Hi There, Pricing of 3rd molar removal are really dependent on the kind of 3rd molar impaction you have. Some are really easy, Only in the gums and small bone involvement while others are deeply submerged inside the bone cavity. The more it lies horizontally and deeply embedded in your jaw, the more espensive it can be.
Look, Dr. Afzel Khader, at rayyan complex just close to the pharmacy, in the second floor it seems, is known to
me for the last twenty years and he is one of the highly experienced Dentist in Doha who could do your job so easily in a very reasonable charge, rates etc. he mentioned in his reception counter. Try to get appointment and after the consultation, he will suggest about all essential approach that is required for your extraction and the cost you dont have to ask for it., coz I think it would not be more than 500/- by any means., but you will not have any worries once you get this job is done by him, coz he is doing all this profession for the last 20 years as far as I know. So good luck and waste not any 1000/- for that simple job anymore.
Wisdom teeth can be removed by simple extraction if they erupted normally but once the situation is called impaction (still under the bone), be it full or partial (in diff. positions), and causing you trouble/pain then surgical procedure is the solution which is expensive. Have your panoramic xray taken so while the dentist explains to you the procedure, at least, you can see and will have the idea why you have to undergo such procedure.
Varies from person to person. Mine had to be surgically removed with incisions to the gum and stitches. This type of procedure is more expensive than the usual extraction.
Depends on what you need done for the extraction . After xrays I was advised to get op to have all removed with several days off work required. Another dentist said not necessary and simply removed the one which had erupted from the gum by simple extraction. The difference was a matter of 1000s of riyals , never mind the time off work that I would not have been able to afford.
