ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES (much awaited) ;-)
Since my Filipino comrades were feeling left out, here's one for yall. May I remind you all to read it in Good Humour ONLY, or as a "wiseman" named Rizks said, "to be read with Hamour Fish ONLY". ;-))
1. You point with your lips.
2. Doctors go back to school to be nurses abroad.
3. You nod your head upwards to greet someone.
4. Soap opera is reality and news provide the dramas of life.
5. Actors make the rules and politicians provide the entertainment!
6. You’re standing next to at least six big boxes at the airport.
7. Forrest Gump would say, "My name is Porrest, Porrest Goomp".
8. How does a Filipino use the words "penis" and "deposit" in the same sentence?
A - "Aaaahhh apter I penis wassing my hands I turn op de-posit!"
9. How does a Filipino use the word "hostess" in a sentence?!
A - When I answer de pone I say, "Hello? Hostess?"
And I am really curious to know the nick names different nationalities have for each other...That will be the biggest cultural exchange happening in this forum...!
And a big secret...Indians(Kerala) call Philipinos "Mathi"- sardines as they are smaller in size and they preffer to move in group like a school of fish...We even call you lovingly --- "Mathi kunjungal"- Sardin babies...

Colt, offering food to visitors is an act of hospitality. one of filipino's traits.

Do yall know of any other good Fili joints???
that is another Filipino trait, "You always offer food to all your visitors"... ;-)
Awaiting my p-adobo from when you get back ;-)
It's nice reading this thread...

And the Filipino food are great!
lol Colt, now your thread was turned into the yummy food thread.. :P
I am your new BEST priend, err friend ;-))
yes I agree beef adobo, doesn't taste the same as the p-adobo... will put that on my list of stuffs to bring back here.. :P
you guys keep talking about food so much, now i'm craving for bagnet from ilocos and sinampalukang manok.
beef adobo at Lulu isn't the same as the p-adobo i am now craving... and imho, I think Royal and Marina serve better adobo than Lulu ;-)
try the beef adobo. For a start, buy cook food in Lulu, and if you have a chance to attend Pinoy gatherings, then you'll have a much yummy food you can imagine!
did ya havta make it sound so yummieee... now I'm craving some "P-adobo" ;-)
"masarap!! lalo na pag native ang manok"
delicious (or yummy), specially if you cook native chicken". Lol!
yeah i know flor. to show that i am really pinoy. hehehe.
Pipty points por my priend Colt45!!!
now you translate that ;-)
Colt's way is scratching his balls when he sees any MAN....:)
hahaha.. pinoy tlaga.. Tinula!!
Lol!
head when you don't know the answer, that's the child's way. The adult way, look to the ceiling (when you're indoor) or look at the sky (when you're outside). Lol!
whatever flor, still the same masarap!! lalo na pag native ang manok .. :)
hahaha, proudly pinoy!
"tinula or tinola"?
if u see someone here in doha walking with umbrella, u bet its 100% Filipina hehehe
am hungry thinking of my fav adobo back home... :(
me too i have an umbrella specially during this season. at least, to ease the heat from the sunrays.
hahaha.. Take in or take out..
Using umbrella during hot summer days?? OOppss.. Is that me? I always bring folded umbrella even in a fine weather.. :D

ROFl.................
yah, I am enjoying the rain and rice planting sesson.. :)
We prepare tinula with fresh veggies and herbs from my Lola's garden.. Tinula and adobo is best prepared home (Phil)..
lol Colt... :P
# You “open” or “close” the lights - (like Indians)
# You use an umbrella for shade on hot summer days.
# You scratch your head when you don’t know the answer.
# You never eat the last morsel of food on the table.
# You go bowling.
# You always offer food to all your visitors.
# You say “comfort room” instead of “bathroom.”
# You say “for take out” instead of “to go.”
@ Visper are u in the Phils. now? Yeah with malunggay leaves, yummy! Miss home again:(
i love 1 and 3
I can take you to Palawan.. Never been there but I have some great friends there.. Oh Philippines, My Philippines..

Patay ang manok ni lola.. hahaha

Native Chicken adobo.. Yummy!!
LOL @ colt this is one of the few good posts i've read so far today. having many pinoy friends huh :)
yalaaaaaaaaa nice... :D
I know what it is, we have something like that in India too.. ;-), will go well with my adobo ;-)
lol Colt, so you take time gathering that info?
ROFL @ Colt and lobot
..sure is refreshing in this heat. :)
I have a lot more, but them I don't wanna offend my Filipino comrades... I love you guys too, especially the Karaoke ;-)))
Actually they preferred shooting in between the eyes in the old west ;)
An American, a Jew and an Indian are all 3 sentenced to death. The judge tells them: "I am a good guy, so I will allow you to
choose the way you want to die...". The American says: "Hang me, just like in the Old West"; they hang him, he dies... Then the
Jew said: "I want you to put me in an oven, kill me like Hitler killed my ancestors!"; they cook him, he dies... The Indian comes
laughing and the judge reminds him: "there is nothing funny about death you know..."...the Indian apologizes and says he wants
to be infected with the most dangerous form of HIV/AIDS...they inject it and the Indian bursts out laughing: "HA! HA! I am not going
to die...! I was wearing a condom!!"
Colt, lambanog is not a food.. :(
Fine, you want food? Lechon Kawali for yoy.. :P
Not only did it awaken them, it made them SMILE in this heat n humidity too... not to mention I'm getting adobo and lambanog for a meal :-D
My Filipino colleague LOVED it and is still smiling to himself :-P
MAN ITS UR DAY!!
I love fili food, I eat at Royal and Marina quite often ;-)
BTW - the pointing with lips is a classic, I can almost see my colleague do it everytime and we always do the same LOL
lol Colt! more more more!!! :p
