Can a UK citizen still get antidepressants in Qatar?

Hi everyone

I'm trying to find out of it's possible to bring anti-depressants and then get them on prescription while in Qatar. I will be in Qatar for a new job, staying for one year, I'm worried as on some sites I have read that anti-depressants are illegal! Please help, hope to hear from you soon.

I don't know how it could be done in Qatar but in UAE its prohibited (an illegal) even if you have a British doctor's prescription.

best thing for u to do is

- carry a letter from ur doctor outlining all the meds that u r on

- bring a script with u for all those meds, so u can also substantiate u carrying them

- many meds are available over the counter here including anti depressants. the prob would be if u r unable to get the same ones that u r currently on. ask ur doctor what other meds would be appropriate for u to change to if needed.
