my wife is 10 weeks pregnent with the copper T IUD still inside the uterus. has anyone encountered such a situation before, does it effect the baby inside, is it better to terminate the pregnency at this stage?

We had exactly same situation like yours two years back. First we went to pvt. clinics there simply they referrend to Hamad Hospital without bothering their responsibility. In Hamad hospital we had very nice experiance as we got appointment of Gyn. lady Dr. who was suppose to be Jordanian she took us in confidence & assure us that its very normal thing nothing to worry at all & removed the IUD in just 5 mins time i guess. Also she made it very clear that there will not be any harm to baby inside & after birth also & exactly same thing happned as our baby is 2 yrs old now & by grace of God he is very fine too. Wish u all the best take proper decision at the earliest.

Best thing - visit a gynaecologist at the earliest possible. You cannot take chance on this !

Having IUD wont disturb the baby inside...if u are so doubtful on it...better remove the IUD...dont terminate the pregnancy becoz of this IUD issue...

why don't you ask a doctor instead of a forum!?

It will not affect the baby at all. Its up with you and your wife if you wanted to be removed earlier or it may be done once when she gives birth.
