My home town..
Trivandrum is my hometown. It is in the southern tip of India. The capital city of millions of Kerala people you see everywhere.
It has one of worlds best view from the flight just before landing..Tourists know it and look out craning their necks and body from under the seat belt.
The frothy sealine, light house, fishing boats with lanterns, lush greenery....a treat even we natives look forward to while nearing the Airport..
It is a healthy mix of old and new. It is said that Trivandrum embraces changes slowly and never lets go once it adopts something..
The people are warm, especially towards tourists...There is a lot to see. The cost of living and travelling is lower than most other Indian cities..
So welcome home friends.. I hope you visit Trivandrum, some day.
Will you tell me about your place now, pleeease? :-)
Just prove how positive vibes effect everybody....A Guy/ Girl speaks about something which is valuable to him...goes on to declare it as being "world's best"...and then before somebody could counter him, he puts everybody else at par with himself by asking their own cities....you can see feel a smile on everybody's face as they start thinking about their own home town instead of degrading the starter of the forum...great job Elegance!!
Sounds superb. Bit like my hometown of Blackpool. Beaches, lights, tower, trams, visiting Scots, "kiss me stupid" hats, roller coaster, fish and chip shops ."...
The last goes on and on :0)
section!
Hope I will have the chance to visit that place!
Thanks TB.. i have memorized your line and will use it next time if i see a comment as described by you ... :P
Now, lets talk about our home land..
That comment is reserved for posts that are either copy and paste news items with no relevance to Qatar at all, or are posts that are nothing to do with Qatar and have been posted by people that don't know what they are talking about but want to seem clever by creating a thread (heaven knows why) that they think makes them look intelligent.
This post is a nice one, because someone is telling us from a first person perspective about their hometown, and inviting others to tell about theirs. Completely relevant to QL in my opinion.
TB..iam surprised not to see your comment "Now what this has to do with Qatar"? :D
NO!! I think I will just move to your hometown ;)
wonderful india...Hats Off
