nad, since the BIRYANI at MAZZA is really tasty, people do flock there on fridays and it is really difficult to manage if you don't come on time...)

during our mes school farewell they used to only cater from mazza ...best butter chicken you get...:)..i like the airport location than the mannai location...but every Thursday is jam packed

nad, now when you have said about SMALL RESTAURANTS, have you tried MAZZA near airport??? They make YUMMY chicken biryani...

zaoq...from ramada, down the bridge take from roundabout you turn and first right is zaoq...just before deccan deewan :)

I am fed up of restaurants BOXBE13, Zaoq maybe good but the service there is pathetic. They gave us 4 tiny drumsticks for 55QR.

Sometimes u get tasty food in small restaurants.

zaoq is expensive..i agree...but excellent taste...complete paisa vasool :)

Most of the hotels in doha add 2 much oil/ghee and masala and serve it as AUTHENTIC PUNJABI DISH which is not actually and as if PUNJABIs relies only on GHEE/BUTTER/OIL and SPICY FOOD...

SUKHSAGAR -- Chef doesn't even know the basic ALLOO - GOBHI(potatao, cauliflower mix)vegetable..Better not to discuss about other foods being serve there...

BUKHARA --- It could be 3-4-5 star(whatever)restaurant but for me the foods are really dull and peaky...

SANJEEV KAPOOR's --- MY goodness! prices are really high..It is better to go once...

ALISHAN --- I would say PRETTY GOOD...But they lack consistency in the food...There will be a change in the taste of same food which you would have tried last time..:D..

CARAVAN, STAR OF INDIA, ASIANA --- Please, they are of not my choice...The foods are no where in comparison of PUNJABI FOOD..

BOMBAY BALTI --- I've never been there...Heard it from others that foods are pretty good...

BB both of from Punjab province so what's the difference..

there is a resturant by name "Saara Resturant" near Jaidah tower which too serves pakistani dishes...they too make sarso da saag but dont eat it...coz its not tat good...:(

Try their paaya and their Lenthil soup...its good.

no offense but Nepali cooks (I see everywhere these days) are killing Indian dishes; the otherday 'daal makkhanee' from Tandoor was so historically disgusting that, even i had to call them back and inquire abt the 'chef'; naturally he got it well.

Khanan, its good tat u didnt go to Lahore...their cooks have changed - they have Nepali cooks....:(

Hag can u please try to give us the co ordinates? Some small restaurants have great taste. Once I tried Karak in a small cafteria in industrial area OMG it was so karak. :D

Directions:Right turn from Jaidah Bridge (addidas Outlet on your right).. go straight till the round about and Uturn..

Go toward Jaidah Bridge again and take second last right turn (Some Hardware shop is in the corner).. Cross the signal and you will see a Grocery shop named fereej Bin Mahmoud Grocery on your right.. Take right from that grocery keep going straight and you will find a small restuarant named Jamal Restuarant next to a Tandoor (bakery).

you won't get it here. But what Rizks mentioned serve food with Punjabi flavors (Spicy and Oily)
