Have valid Qatar Driver's license but on business visa

Hi guys, need some advice. I went home last May and my visa was cancelled. Now i came back under business visa but I still have a valid qatar driver's licence. Can I still use it to drive here in qatar? or i should wait for my new QID?

for as long as your driving license remains valid, you can drive with it. Most drivers license are issued with your QID on it and these remains the same regardless of your sponsor or how long you have been away from Qatar.

Suggest you pay a visit to the Traffic police (maroor) office and ask the Captain. He would be the best person to answer your query. Off hand, I believe you could drive as I was in a similar situation a over a decade back but that was in another Middle East country. I had no problems driving there.
