Jurassic World... epic fun, millions of years in the making!
Each time I fill petrol in my car, I feel somewhat guilty because I know it came about as a result of some beautiful animals dying out on planet earth several hundred million years ago.
For me, these animals were nameless (except in those boring textbooks in a class I even forgot I attended). But all that changed in 1993, when Dinosaurs came back into the world’s collective consciousness, thanks to a mad genius named Steven Spielberg and his peculiar way of film-making. He set most of us down a scientific path of wonderment and horror.
Each time a sequel to the masterpiece was released, the world waited with bated breath to see what new wonders awaited them on the silver screen. It always proved to be a false alarm. Again and again and again. Until now.
Jurassic World, although it isn’t as good as the original, is the sequel that really does some sort of justice to the first movie.
Around 22 years after the series of unfortunate events in Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar, the island off the coast of Costa Rica once again houses a successful dinosaur theme park — Jurassic World.
It is wildly successful and people flock to see its inhabitants.
CEO Simon Masrani (Irrfan Khan) heads the company running the park. His research division has developed a new dinosaur — Indominus Rex — which is genetically modified and as fearsome as they come.
‘Dino Whisperer’ Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), who trains velociraptors, is called in to inspect the Rex’s cage and it cunningly escapes captivity.
Nephews of the park’s Operations Manager Claire Dearing are caught in the middle of the Dino’s killing run and they plot their escape.
The film has ample amounts of dedications made to some classic Hollywood movies and is a scream. All the actors have done well and the animatronics is top notch.
I watched the movie on the first day, first show, but waited to write this review after watching it again in 3D.
Don’t ever go for the 2D version. Invest an extra QR20. It’s worth your time and money.
VERDICT: This is the best thing to have happened to Jurassic Park after the original Jurassic Park. It’s a great ride. Nine out of 10.
I watched this movie. I think this movie is one of the best movie i ever watched.
