Four women fined by court for beating up guest at wedding
Four women have been fined QR5,000 each by a Doha misdemeanour court for attacking another woman at a wedding ceremony, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
The newspaper did not specify when the incident took place, but stated that those involved in the altercation apparently used knives and forks on the tables and “anything they could get their hands on” to attack each other.
Trouble started when one of the guests in the wedding hall expressed dissatisfaction at the presence of another invited woman and asked her to leave the place.
A relative of the latter was angered by this and she started arguing with the guest.
At this point, an argument broke out and escalated into a scuffle as they beat the victim, who fought back and reportedly threw knives at them.
The victim filed an official complaint against the women, as she sustained several injuries from being attacked with the knives and forks. [Arrayah]
