Abandoned cars removed from Industrial Area
The committee for the removal of abandoned cars has removed more than 400 vehicles from the Industrial Zone in Al Khor and its suburbs in 15 days.
Salih Al Kuwari, Vice-Chairman, said the panel works round the clock and has removed more than 10,000 cars from the Industrial Zone and then focused on Doha and Zaa’in, removing more than 12,000 cars so far.
Jassim Abdullah Al Jaber, Assistant Director of Mechanical Equipment and member of the committee, said the removal plan is divided into stages: Inspection of the site, determining the number of violations, sending notices and actual removal.
Muhammad Faraj Al Qubaisi, Assistant Project Manager for Hygiene and Sanitation and member of the committee, had urged vehicle and garage owners to take back their cars before the removal process and they responded.
He said the culture of adhering to rules and regulations should be respected for the welfare of citizens and society, pointing out that a huge fine is imposed on people who and violate the law by labelling their vehicles.
Issa Al Mohannadi, Director of Censorship Management, Al Khor Municipality, said there is coordination among authorities to get rid such vehicles, calling upon citizens to enhance cooperation and safety across Qatar.

I wish I had so much money I could just dump my car and then buy a new one!!
@BB ,don't worry there's a huge dumping site near Qatar-Saudi border some will end up there while some will be recycled as scraps...@MM yeah Gud job, do not be surprised if the figure goes higher than expatriates in Doha. :)
Where will they dump these cars...will it not affect the environment
