Be careful, five new radars are being installed on February 22 Street
So have you been zipping down the February 22 Street without a care in the world about what your car’s speed might be? If you’ve answered yes, then it’s time to be afraid, very afraid.
For the country’s Traffic Department has started work on installing five new radars on that are capable of detecting several violations, The Peninsula reports.
The new cameras will catch violations like overtaking from right, stopping in emergency parking slots and in the yellow box and parking in areas dedicated for the disabled. Motorists who fail to fasten their seat belts or talk on mobile phone while driving will also be caught.
Earlier, the ministry had made public plans to install 52 new radars across Doha to catch traffic violations.
Even you have installed 100's, still the same because some speeding SUV's are do the same things. They slow when they're approaching the speed radar & they hit the accelerator when the passed thru to it. Why they have to announce the installed camera? If you want to catch these racketeers driver let them drive like hell. For me it's useless.
obey the law or pay up, simple as that.
Damn 5 on such a short stretch of road and where there are already 5 cameras; I wish there could be a scene where we had higher speed limits late at night; the cops understand this and usually you can pass them at 140 on a 120 and they don't bother with you; but the cameras are machines and are literally cold, grey and heartless :-)
No need to worry if you drive with care .. Joys
