Ashghal has announced a temporary closure of all lanes in both directions of East Industrial Road leading to Salwa Road, to install a pedestrian bridge on the highway.

The stretch from Al Watan Petrol Station Roundabout next to Street No. 33 to Khalid bin Ahmed Intersection will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday evening, a temporary closure on both directions will be implemented on East Industrial Road in the Industrial Area from 8pm until 6am the next day.

On Tuesday evening, a similar closure will take effect from 8pm until 6am the next day.

Motorists from Al Watan Petrol Station Roundabout towards Khalid bin Ahmed Intersection are requested to take the service road and turn right to Bu Twaina Street and drive along Jeri Saleh Street and turn left on Street No. 226 which will connect them back to the service road leading to Salwa Road.

Those coming from Street No. 1 and heading towards East Industrial Street must turn right to reach Street No. 2 and then another right turn to access the service road in the direction of Street No. 33.

They must provide pedestrian bridges in all strategic roads in Doha as people where tend cross the road exactly where they are standing, rather than going to the intersections with a signal which is a 200-500 meters away. Funny though that this is the only country I've noticed that no pedestrian bridges at all....(but of course not until now it will be ready for installation...... at last!)
