Exactly a month into the siege of Qatar, we have learned that…

The siege of Qatar, which began on June 5, has entered its first full month.

If Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE wanted to teach Qatar a lesson for daring to stand on its own feet and having independent opinions, then I should say they succeeded in doing so.

In fact, we learned quite a few things during the ongoing siege of Qatar. Here is a list of things we learned, in no particular order. Thanks to the siege, we learned that…

…there is nothing more soothing than Turkish Sut!

Really, had it not been for the siege, would you have had a taste of the richer, creamier Turkish milk, soothingly called Sut? Yeah, I know your answer. Thank you for introducing ‘Sut’ into our dictionary, people.

…we can stay in Qatar for Eid and still have a great time!

We learned that visiting Europe during Eid holidays are for suckers. When you have your beloved homeland, what is the need to celebrate elsewhere? Thank you for reintroducing the beauty of celebrating Eid in Qatar!

….that cows do fly!

If a few months ago, someone told me cows could fly, I would dismiss it as the murmurs of a head gone soft. But now, I’m a believer. Cows do fly, in fact, 4,000 of them at least. If it proves successful, then cows could soon be the hottest new expat community in town. :-)

…that unity is a beautiful thing!

I don’t remember the last time Qataris and expatriates stood united, shoulder to shoulder, toe to toe, for a common cause. Man, woman and child united under the banner of ‘Tamim The Glorious.’ Thank you for bringing out the unity in us.

…that ‘news of doom’ should be taken with a spoonful of salt!

We don’t have any food in Qatar and we’ve cleaned out every supermarket. OR NOT. Panic mongering has evolved into an art form and has been perfected by some news outlets. We are happy to say Qatar Living kept away from false news like the plague.

So what did you learn during the blockade? Let us know in the comments section.

Why didn't the Egyptian President didn't call their citizens back to their home country just like they did to the Qataris with 14days notice.

Does the conditions apply one-way?

Let me gather few points what i believe in.

1. Unity is strength, no matter the threat, we will be strong on our values and ethics, will not bow down for anything and praise the LORD for giving us the strength

2. Though we saw empty racks in stores, we strongly believe and move forward to have our own produce and sustain the living with the available supplies without any fear

3. Regardless discrimination we remained calm and showed our respect

4. We believe in our Leader the AMIR and the GOD for protection

5. May GOD give us all strength and hope the situation goes back to normal soon

Qatar is holding on because businesses are hanging on with the hope that crisis will solve soon as its going ahead in a positive note..

Mere ability to import milk products are not enough... Trade has taken a huge blow... Today feight cost have doubled & that cost is eventually passed to the consumer...Operational costs will eventually increse & put pressure upstream... this will be visible in few month.
