Friday is going to be a hot day
The Meteorology Department has forecast a significant rise in temperature today.
A statement issued by the Department yesterday said the mercury could rise up to 43 degrees Celsius in the peak hours of the day. Such increase, however, is normal during this month, said the department.
The temperature is expected to remain “within the normal average” until the end of this month, said the department.
The highest temperature recorded in Qatar in April was in 1973 at 46 degrees Celsius.
The northwesterly to northeasterly wind would blow at moderate speeds during the day, with a relatively humid weather leading to fog at places in the early hours.
