Karwa taxi driver honoured for honesty
Mowasalat has honoured a Karwa taxi driver for honesty and integrity after he promptly returned the wallet a woman customer had left in the car.
The Germany-bound passenger found her wallet missing when she was about to check in at Hamad International Airport (HIA).
The wallet had her National ID card without which she could not have gone back to her country.
She sounded the airport security to find her wallet. However, in no time she got it back, handed over to airport authorities by taxi driver Abdul Majeed Kurukkan, who noticed the wallet and had the sense to quickly go back to airport and return it.
Customer Stephanie Shum was overwhelmed with his gesture and had no clue of how to thank the driver.
She had followed up with airport authorities to know the identity of this person and extend her thanks through her email to HIA authority.
"I am keen to talk to him about the impact of his help. Without him returning my German residency visa, I may have had major difficulties in returning home," wrote Shum.
Khalid Nasser Al Hail, CEO, Mowasalat, called the driver and rewarded him for his honesty and act of humanity and said such employees inspire work ethics and morality in everyone.
He presented the driver with a certificate of appreciation and a reward. [The Peninsula]

Well done............Honesty is the best policy....stay blessed.....
It is such great people who help the world to keep moving on. Mr Abdul Majeed: Your act will not go waste. God will reward you.
his honesty would be wonderful on its own...but the sheer terror of the lady and how critical her situation was makes it even more appreciable...its the worst possible time to lose your wallet...how her helplessness mustve turned to relief and that driver can smile to himself that he made her day...hope i can ride with this guy one day and tell him how awesome i think he is...
Its a lesson for rest of the drivers to follow. Good job done Mr Majeed.
........OUR LITTLE ACT OF HELP/KINDNESS MAKE HAPPY AROUND & GET US PROUD - INSPIRED..........
Well done Abdulmajeed - I dont wear Hats
So Hats on to you!
But there is a chance these acts can be acted.
Where the German lady is an actress and the Taxi driver and actor and the whole scene a drama to get fame and publicity.
But I donot think this is the case here...but just to notify that this procedure of rewarding can be exploited
