Ministry of Interior instructs passports departments to work in two shifts

If you are living in Qatar, then you should have visited the General Directorate of Passports, functioning under the Ministry of Interior (MoI), at least once.

Whenever you go, you may have been struck with how fast and efficiently things move at the ministry. It is now going to be even more efficient, thanks to MoI announcing new working hours for the departments.

In a statement, the MoI announced that the General Directorate of Passports and all its departments, at the headquarters and service centres, will start working in two shifts on all working days.

From Sunday to Thursday, the timings will be 6am to 1pm in the morning and 1pm to 6pm in the evening.

With seamless changeovers between shifts, it will eliminate lunch breaks and reduce waiting time for people. This is a good decision, which will help simplify procedures and help people save time and effort.
